It was my first SoulCycle (& cycling in general) class & I didn’t feel pressured to perform in the same way the more experienced riders were. The seats are quite uncomfortable & was the most painful aspect of the experience (even w/ a thick bottom), so be prepared for that. Overall 8/10.

see all reviewsCatherine is so great! Some feedback for soul cycle: you should release bikes five minutes before class. I asked twice if I could move from the back corner and about 1 min before class started, I asked if I could take one of the empty bikes. However, because the class was “full” I was told to check in again in 3 minutes. Since that was after class started, I just stayed in the back corner, but there were 5 or 6 bikes that remained empty throughout class that I’d have preferred.

As someone with knee problems, it’s problematic and I wish if they were going to do this, they ask before class if anyone has injuries/doesn’t want their resistance touched. :(

see all reviewsFirst timers receive shoe rentals for free. You are assigned a bike but you can ask to be next to your friend if you go together (but you have to wait 4 minutes before class starts). The class is mostly cycling (someone will help you adjust if it’s your first time), but you use the weights to do a few curls in between. Music was loud, but they provide earplugs. Instructor was very kind and motivating.

His classes are always almost completely full, if not 100% full, which shows I’m not the only one who feels this way! He is energetic and uplifting while being outwardly supportive of both brand new and experienced riders — you can tell how much he loves to teach spin. He even came off the podium during class today to ride next to us during the “song for yourself” portion which I’ve never had any instructor do anywhere else in my 4 years of taking spin classes. I cannot wait to take my next class with him.

When my fiancé and I first arrived, the front desk immediately asked if we wanted to have bikes next to each other which was extremely thoughtful! Afterwards, they helped us clip our shoes on the bikes and were very patient! We had an instructor named Sammy and he was so attentive and welcoming. His energy was absolutely amazing and kept motivating me to keep pushing in class even when I wanted to give up. Amazing first experience ever and I 100% will still come back 🙏🏾🙏🏾
