    Restorative Yoga and Sound Healing

What a DREAM! Catarina was so lovely and calming. The space is gorgeous. I floated like a cloud out of there from the restorative yoga and sound healing class. 12/10

    Aerial Yoga

I’ve never done Ariel Yoga before but do plenty of other yoga. It’s an interesting experience. Seems to use more upper body strength than a normal yoga class. Class had 3 students in it, so Dan could keep an extra close eye on the other new student and me. We performed quite an array of ariel poses and variants: forward folds, down dogs, pigeon, full split, goddess, warrior 3, lunges, pike handstands, cobblers pose, chandelier, tree, vampire, bat, and some dynamic poses that were flip variants. I enjoyed the class and felt slight lightheaded/motion sickness when done. I probably should have drank water during class, so that’s on me. I think I would have also enjoyed a long shavasana in the sling, and would probably do that on my own as long as permitted to aid in my recovery. A Gatorade when I got home set me straight again. This class was intriguing and I’d like to see how I could do after a few more classes (even complete repeats would be fine for me). Dan also encouraged photo taking, which the others participants did. I want to take pics after I’m more experienced and comfortable, but he said my poses looked photo-worthy. Perhaps after a few more times I’ll be able to do less “thinking” while in the poses and do more “being” in them. Thanks, Dan, for a great introduction to Aerial Yoga!
